Once I get to England, I’m meeting up with a friend and we’re going on a 3 day tour of the highlands. It isn’t a long time, but it’s a start.
How to visit the Scottish Highlands
How I did it: After falling in love with a new series of books, I decided to do a book inspired tour. The tour started in Edinburgh and then we spent a couple of days in the Highlands. I got to see corners that were less touristy than the Loch Ness area and being in a small intimate tour group really helped with the customized feel of it. I highly recommend it.
Lessons & tips: I would suggest a small tour for the first time. The are of the
highlands is vast and it is good to have some help to make it from
point A to B.

I grew up visiting Scotland since forever and now I haven’t been in like 7 years! It is just plain wrong.
I went there on a cycling trip by myself for 5 days and I really enjoyed it. I met a lot of new people and enjoyed the landscape. A pity I couldn’t stay longer.
I have so far traced a good portion of my family history. I have hit a dead end in America and Canada. I would like to visit the Highlands—the Pirthshire area to pick the tail up again. The place just tugs at my heart
