make less mess when I cook

I’d have to say I think I nearly deserve to have this goal ticked off. The dinner party last night went well and everyone enjoyed the food (always a good thing….!).

The pasta making was a success (a little suprising I must add!) and I was extra careful with containing my mess to a minimum. The only drama I had was when I went to open my packet of flour to find (to my horror) that it was riddled with weavles. I paniced and did a mad dash down to the supermarket to buy some more!

Rather than leaving ALL the mess to clean up at the end, I tended to clean after each little stage of the preparation and this made the task of cleaning up at the end a lot more bearable.

This goal will be put to the test today. I’m hosting a dinner party tonight for 6 (the first dinner party in my new apartment). On the menu is Tomato Tarts for appetisers, Spinach and Riccota Cannelloni (with home made pasta sheets of course) with a green salad and garlic bread on the side, and Pav for desert (It’s Australia day today, so the Pav was the ‘Aussie’ component of the meal).

The pasta making will be the biggest test…. How I deal with all that flour will either make or break this goal!!
