As I’m going to be leaving the UK at the end of the year I’ve been working at this pretty hard for the past 6 weeks. Already managed to clear out a lot of items that I never use, about £300 worth of stuff so far. Aiming to get rid of everything that I don’t need/not attached to and that I wouldn’t be planning on taking to Seattle. I think I can reach a total of £600 – £700 within the next month. Plan on doing even more selling over the Christmas holidays. 15 months ago

So I’ve started doing this today. I don’t know. I just feel like I have too much stuff and I’d like to have less to worry about when I eventually move out.

It’s so great to get rid of things, and you know the person really wants it, or they wouldn’t have bid on it. Craigslist is also good for this if it’s a large thing. 4 years ago

I got round to putting some items up for sale today, some magazines and Buffy the vampire slayer boxsets. Hopefully someone will want them. I still have bunch of stuff to sell though, it’s in a red box in my room. 4 years ago

Decided to try to sell some of my books via Amazon. I figure that people will look on Amazon for a book before they look on eBay. We’ll see what happens… I dunno. Do people actually buy second hand books via Amazon? 6 years ago

This is similar to my entry above – “figure out eBay”. I’m a college graduate, 43 years old, and would love to have what’s comparable to a garage sale online.
My siblings sell things on eBay, I’m computer savvy and all, and either I just don’t get it, or I don’t really want to take the time to learn how, but I want to get rid of old books, some of my vinyl LPs and other things.
Wish I knew how without having to spend days in the instructional pages and more days just looking at what others are doing.
