All that sun up there (well perhaps not on a Swedish winter evening) but hinestly it’s free so why not use it. I use it on my boat to charge my batteries. It’s part of becoming an independent unit. I also have a lovely solar extractor fan that doesn’t need plugging into anything. It’s just running anytime there’s some light on it. I’d love to be able to genrate enough energy on my boat to avoid ever having to take the batteries to the mains supply to charge.

using solar powered….anything sort of means you’re getting electricity for free, right? the sun has yet to charge me for using it’s rays. so why isn’t everyone doing it?
