play with my son!

Today I assisted him in putting together the item SANTA brought – - – a huge LEGO castle. He did the first 1/2 booklet and then ran out of steam. I guided him and he found and put the pieces together – all I did was point to the items in the book and did confirmations that he was on the right track. I put the 2/2 booklet together but that is ok – I could be a LEGO builder for a career….

even after we played the Monsters card game three times. I think five year olds are interesting…..

NO ONE EVER SAID THIS JOB IS EASY

c6 and i have so much fun playing all the time. we like to play elevator, parking garage, and train. now that it is warmer, we run through the sprinkler and play in his playhouse. we also have been visiting the local playroom more frequently, which is nice. we’re also having fun listening to music and dance dance dancing, something we’ve always enjoyed.

calvin and i have been doing lots and lots of fun things:
we’ve been painting a lot – fingerpainting and…TOE PAINTING!!! it was so fun.
he helps me with baking and cooking. we’ve made cookies, brownies, and pizza together. hurrah!

We visited the Tumbling Tykes again.
It is only an hour or some running, jumping and playing in the sand box. But it is a great time together and it is the perfect warm-up for our “real” tumbling class tomorrow morning.

with Maria in India, i am getting tons of play time in with Mason. yesterday was great, we played in the snow for a couple of hours.

it is quite amazing how a 3 year old never gets cold or complains about the cold.
