Before tonight’s concert, I had dinner at one of the Casino restaurants. We were seated next to the band, but Chris wasn’t there.

I did get to meet him after the concert though. He had joked during the concert about it being held in the parking lot, so I said to him while he signed my CD, “best parking lot concert ever.” His response was, “it is what it is, man.” We then shook hands.

in the 80s Chris played every venue in the city.
He not only did “real” shows, but he played all the 21 and over to drink shows, meaning if you were 16 you could go as long as you didn’t drink.

Since I had a fabulous fake ID :D I went to all the adult shows. But THE BEST SHOW he’s ever done, and I’m sure he’d laugh about this, is the cocnstant gig he used to play at the Tonga Room at the Fairmont hotel He’d be playing in the little lagoon, on the boat, during the “rain storm”

Hilarious.

But the best appetizer happy hour anywhere.

He also still surfs Ocean Beach and we used to drive past his place in the Sunset just to see if we could catch a glimpse of him (never did)

Chris Isaak will be performing at the Seneca Allegany Casino on Saturday August 4th. This is just over an hour away from me, so I’m going to order tickets and go. Chris is one of my favorite male vocalists, and I loved his tv show a few years back.
