Participate in Nanowrimo yearly

This will not happen this year. My OPO (very important oral exam) is due Nov 15 and will probably occur the first week of November. I will then need some time of mental recovery, and then I will have to make up for any research that got waylaid at the end of the OPO process. I don’t see having the amount of time it takes to write 50,000 words in one month.

Finished in 2006 as well, but I was less pleased with the result the second time ‘round. Still, I hope to do it again in 2007.

I got stuck around 10000 words, but will try again in 2007

I’m up to above 40,000 words this year, so not much further to go.

I got so much out of NaNoWriMo 2005 (and not just the actual manuscript!) that I want to do it every year. It’s only January, and I haven’t even finished my first novel yet, but I already have some ideas simmering for November. :-)

I just didn’t have the time. But the thing is, I’ve proven that I can write 50,000 words in a month, but what I need to do now is prove that I can edit those words and produce something worth reading.

Two days before the start of nanowrimo, that frustrating time of year where you’re all geared up to start and can’t for another 30 hours. Oh well, let’s see if I’m this enthusiastic at the end of the month ;-)

Well, I don’t know that I really have time to write 50k words in November as a chemistry graduate student who has a husband, two kids, three cats, and one new puppy who commutes one hour each way to school four days per week, but I scheduled it in, and I know what I want to write.

I also re-signed up as a member of Nanowrimo. My reward is always to get the t-shirt if I finish.

I_want_to_nanowrimo. It’s a place to exchange ideas and cheer each other on. We could do with more members!

The year before I tried but failed miserably. This last time I managed it with a few days to spare. The feeling of just writing every day was wonderful – I think there were only a couple of days I didn’t manage to write at all.
I’m looking forward to the challenge again this year.
