Spend more quality time with my daughter

We played in the sand. I’m going to take my daughter to the shore next month. She sees Caillou at the beach on TV, and she’s always saying, “Mommy do we have a beach?” I can’t wait to take her. It’s just really hard for me as a single parent to make the time that I spend with my daughter quality, especially when I’m soooo tired. I’m getting better. I’m making steps, and I’m trying harder with this.

I took my daughter to the park again. We had fun. We went out to eat. I’m planning more fun things to do with her in the future.

I took my daughter to the park yesterday. Slowly working on this. It’s rough with the time that I have as a single parent.

I’m planning on taking my daughter to the Crayola factory this summer. She’s 3 1/2, and I think this will be fun for her. I was told that the terrible two’s were rough, but 3 has been really hard on me, especially because I’m a single parent. I think spending more quality time with her will help me to understand her better. She really tries my patience.

I took 8 of my daughters friends to see the new Harry Potter Film yesterday to celebrate her 11th birthday. Adam feel asleep during the first 10 minutes and I wanted to go home and prepare the food for when the kids returned for the party. It was a very slow moving film. Great graphics and I stuck it out.

This birthday was a bit more special than those before, because this would be the last time that these 8 children will be together as they are going to secondary school in September. Out of the 8, 4 will be going to the same school, but in different classes. These kids have been together since the age of 4. I’m sure there will be a few tears on Friday when they leave primary school for the last time.

The Party went will everyone enjoyed themselves and 2 more children came to the house to join in the fun. Laray’s godfather and his girlfriend was also there to help make the party run smoothly. Mel is a make up artist for the film industry so she was having fun doing make over for the girls, while the boys had a water fight in the field with Richard.

My daughter is going through that pre-teen stage and it’s driving me mad! With all her activities that she does during the week and all the homework she has to do with the run up to her stats exams, there doesn’t seem to be anytime for us to do things together. I’m always tired now that I’m in the third stage of the pregnancy, so when there is time, I’m too tired. So I have decided to send her to my mother inlaw for the half term next week so that she can have some fun. While she is away I have arranged for a bedroom makeover. The times we have spent, we have looked at different websites and books, so I have a general idea to what she would like. I hope she likes it.

With the baby coming in 3 months, I don’t want my 10 year old feeling left out. I’m going to allocate a set time for her so that we can do girlie things together.

she just got back from winter break in TX…we had fun last night. tonight I’m going to let her help me cook.

I want to slow down my days and make more quality time for her. I want to learn her better.

Today was the first volleyball game….we lost, but had a lot of fun!
