We finally got the photos done and the applications in. (Side note: tried to do the photos myself but apparently our white walls aren’t “white enough” so we had to detour to the the local pharmacy to pay to have the photos made. shudder ;-)
Hopefully all will go well and the passports will arrive in the mail in a couple of weeks…
I will take Josh and Sarah and Nene to get passport photos taken this week!
naughtyminx78 Finding the Balance
Managed to dash around on my lunchbreak and get it done.

They are not the best in world (then who loves their passport pic?) – Little Jimmers is squinting as he tried to follow the photographers directions to keep his chin up and look at the camera and K looks like she is posing for a police mugshot!
Oh well – at least they’re done! Just need to sort the countersignatures next.

I did manage to make a silly mistake and had to start over on one of them (fortunately I picked up a spare)and I also found K’s old passport and Jimmers birth cert to send off. Now I just need to get the piccies done, get the countersignatures and get the lot to the post office.
Not long to get it done!

I took Little Jimmers to the hairdressers today so he looks nice and tidy for his passport photo! Now I just have to take the children for their photos, fill the forms in, get together anything that needs to be sent off and take it all to the post office!

All the deets can be found here. It’s a straightforward process, however, the part that’s a pain is you need to have your kids with you when applying and both parents need to be present (or one parent can submit a notarized written permission slip in lieu of showing up in person.) Getting us all together on a weekday was a little bit of a chore and kept us putting it off. But as of today the paperwork is on its way, finally.

Sometimes I really feel like packing a few things and running for the border. I can’t very well leave the kids behind, however. They need papers.
