I just haven’t had time to update with my progress. I’ve hit a bit of a plateau in the pushups I can do. I went from 20 at a time up to 26 and now the progress is going slower. I’m still doing the exercise regimen 3x a week.

Week 1 Day 2 2 months ago

Week 1 Day 1, I did 44 (60 second gaps between sets).

Today (Week 1 Day 2), I did 57 (90 sec gaps between sets).

I heard about this from a friend and I’m not one to shy away from a challenge.

For the “initial test” I did 20.

Today was the first day of Week 1. My arms feel like jello.

Can do 35 1 year ago

I can do 35 on my fists before I go numb. But I’m trying to do as many pushups as I can, as many times I can, every day.

Started at 40 two weeks ago, up to 53. I am trying to do one more every day.

Been working out everyday for about the last week. Right now my workout consists of 20pushups, 10 triangle pushups, 20 situps, 20 pushups, 10 triangle pushups, 20 situps, 20 wide pushups, and 20 more situps. They seem to be getting easier but they still make me swet. I also go on a short jog every morning.

Doing a lot of pushups for the sake of doing them isn’t important. Doing them as part of an exercise routine is definitely worthwhile. But there’s nothing magical about 100 push-ups, especially when you are in a taekwon-do class and are being disciplined. :)



I beat all the boys at my high School at Pushups 2 years ago

I beat all the boys at my highschool and I’m an eight grade girl. I also went up against the high school wrestling coach and the football coach, both of whom are in excellent shape. Another contestant I went against was my brother’s swim coach. He’s twenty-two, and weightlifs every day. I still can’t beat my eighteen year old gymnastics coach, but he still does gymnastics, and he’s good.
This is totally worth it. It’s the best feeling. Girls, you NEED to be able to do this. Let’s show those boys who don’t know how strong we can be!! Like I said, so worth it to anyone who wants to blow people away.
