sew myself a dress

Since my last foray into sewing for myself was somewhat disastrous, I decided to make a muslin first.

Yesterday I pinned the pattern pieces to the muslin and cut out most of them before my live in timer (aka baby) went off.

I already have the pattern, the fabric, and the notions. All I need is the time.

I went on a sewing/knitting hiatus after Christmas. Ugh! It was just too much all at once. But I’m starting to gain interest again. My plan is to go to Joann’s this weekend & pick up their latest schedule to see if there’s another dress-making class. I hope so. If not, I’ll wait & finish all my other half-done projects laying around the house. :)

There’s a class at Joann’s in Jan & Feb to learn how to sew a dress. I’m not crazy about the pattern they’re using, so I think I’m going to ask if I can use my own pattern…I found a really cute one in the Butterick book. Please, please, please, please, please…let them say “Yes!”
