I went to Easter Vigil and it was good. It’s still not Midnight Mass though!
I will hopefully be in England for next year’s Christmastime so hopefully I will go to a church there, such as St. Paul’s?

    Midnight mass 2 years ago

Hey i like going and that im going tonight, Its fun because there is a nativity with the infant jesus. If your filipino then you would have fun because you would sometimes bring a parol(star Lantern) for a signal that your going to midnight mass. If your going i recomend to go about 1 to 2 hours before it start, last year, we went at 9:30 and it started at 10:00, we had to stand, All the seats were full!!

    I love the Midnight Mass!

I am Catholic-Christian and Love Midnight Mass! 3 years ago

We have Midnight Mass, which is actually going to be at midnight this year! We have a new pastor and he wants to bring back the tradition of having Midnight Mass at 12:00 unlike years past. I’m excited! I’m a night owl and am usually up pretty late. There is also a 7:00, Christmas Eve Children’s Mass as well as a Christmas morning celebration.

The Christmas Celebrations are quite beautiful, solemn, and likewise impressive. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Redeemer with the happy sound of joyous hymns, spirit-filled readings of the Nativity, with light sparkling everywhere; a candlelight vigil all starting from one flame (symbolizing the light of Christ). It is so beautiful! If anyone is planning to attend Midnight Mass at a local parish, my advice is to get there at least a half an hour early if not before.

May all your Christmas Season be filled with Christ’s Peace and Joy

Admittedly, the Anglican version 3 years ago

And currently I’m agnostic, FWIW. But back in the early eighties I was more heavily involved things church-related, and in December 1984 I went to Midnight Mass for the first and only time in my life. But Bethesda, the Anglican church in Saratoga Springs, was a mini-cathedral in many ways, and the candles, vaults and High Church ceremonial of the service was beautiful and wonderful. We stepped out into the night sky afterwards and I remember the snow coming down as we drove home and waited impatiently for Christmas morning.

I've been a couple of times 3 years ago

    I’m not even Catholic!

    Not Religious 3 years ago

I used to attend services a lot though. I just want this for the experience. But now I have to wait until next year! So this goal will take up a whole year’s space. =(

    Easter Vigil 4 years ago

I’m Irish, and we went to midnight mass every Christmas, but I’d recommend the Easter Vigil, if you can find somewhere that does it. I’m not religious, but I’m looking forward to next year’s, when I can bring my son to his first (he’s making his First Communion next year).

But back to the subject at hand… the best thing about Midnight Mass at Christmas is the choir.

Adrienne will be absent while taking strides for goal #1.

Christmas Midnight Mass 4 years ago

I’ve been several times. My family used to go every year. Some years I’d make it, others I wouldn’t. I EMHC’d a few years ago for Midnight Mass.

With the exception of one time at a very small church, it is always too crowded, and I’m just too tired at midnight for Mass. I guess I don’t feel particularly holy at that time.

It is probably something nice to do once, but I’ll be happy never to go to Midnight Mass again.

Midnight mass is lovely 4 years ago

I especially loved it as a child – when staying up extra late was a huge treat. I recommend trying going to mass (in general) at least once to anyone.
