I checked this off but then realized I didn’t drive it, I rode on the back… boo! But it was still fun!
How to drive a vespa
How I did it: Browse the Web,
Talked to a colleague having a Vespa,
Visited the 'Vespa-shop' and talked to them..
I somehow knew I wanted a 125cc Vespa, but there were 2 types : LX and GTS. Even if I initially preferred LX (cheaper and lighter), the woman in the shop, recommended the GTS. In order to take the right choice, I decided to make a test-drive with both.
After the test-drive I selected the GTS : It felt much more robust, It has more power, it is better suited to drive with a passenger, and it 'only' costed 500 euro more.
Once I made the decision, I ordered and paid immediately and after returning from holidays, I picked it up.
Lessons & tips: a Vespa GTS125 is not cheap, but it is really beautiful, and the driving experience is delicious. She is so easy to handle, the exact balance between power, flexibility and beauty. She consumes a bit more fuel than I anticipated.
Resources: Make a test drive to select the best Vespa type.

One day I will own my own and zoom about town on it. I live in a city and I disagree with people who own cars who don’t actually need them but I think a vespa or bike of sorts is acceptable.
buzz around in Antwerp and stop for a drink once in a while… mmmmmmhh
