several years ago, i’d ask the person who is now my husband to hang out and to spend time with me. i was rejected so many times. but, he was faithful and religious in showing up in the gym to lift weights with me three days a week. go figure! not until much later did i find out that he didn’t want to date just for dating’s sake. he wanted to date only with the intent of marrying. to make a long story short, we dated and married! i won.
