We were in Hawaii and did three dives. Turtles and trumpet fish on every dive! I’m glad I did this again. I was apprehensive at first but then I was surprised at how quickly I felt comfortable underwater again. It was a good experience and I won’t let so long pass between now and the next dive.

I am going on a trip in a couple weeks and I’ve told myself that I must dive. Warm weather, warm water, good vis most likely – what’s to stop me but myself?
Does this count? :)
Seriously, it makes me want to get back into it more which is good. I wish I could take just a short four day trip to Mexico or somewhere that the water is warm and diving is easier to just do it! Getting back in the water here requires a pretty big weight loss or more gear rental and it’s just harder with more weight and more to wear (hood and gloves needed here always.)
But, I don’t think the hubby is up for this and I guess it does seem a bit extreme just for two days of diving, but it would be so easy…
Diving is my old dream. I hope that this person will help me to realize my dream!
What a humiliating experience. :( I really need to work on that lose weight goal, or come up with a make money goal so I can get a new suit before getting back in the water. Oh well, reality is what it is. I guess it’s just a kick in the (dry suit) pants for me. Still, it’s something I hadn’t done in a year so I guess its progress toward getting back in the water.
I am going diving with my cousin who is over from New Zealand. We are diving at Cook Island – I have never divied there B4. Will put some photo’s up after :)
Yipeee!!
We took the regulators and tanks in for service – I figure that’s one step that needs to happen. Also I went for a walk and went by the spot where we used to dive a lot. This doesn’t directly translate to me getting back into the water, but considering that I hadn’t been there in a year and I saw a couple of divers it feels somehow related to my goal.
I used to dive regularly but got out of activity for several reasons including relationship problems, weight gain (which has since gotten worse), and an increased work schedule. I don’t know if I want to dive as frequently as I was doing for a while before, but I’d like to become familiar with it again.
of course, ever since i got pregnant, i haven’t gone diving again. and i so miss it. it’s been 1 1/2 years since my last dive but i can still vividly remember how the underwater world looks.
i don’t know if i will ever be able to dive again though because my baby will always be my first priority but it sure would be nice to go back to the water.
