I’ve traveled but I haven’t explored in a while. I have to take time out for that 7 months ago

...in more ways than one.

I spent some time with pen and paper the other night just writing from my heart and soul. I didn’t need that bottle of wine I drank beforehand but in some ways it did allow me to write down a load of crap that had been cluttering up my mind.

This weekend I’ve also explored some towns I’ve never visited. 8 months ago

....allowed me to explore my mind a little and just be attentive to my own thoughts.

....and have started exploring!

This week we’ve visited Dover Castle and Deal Castle and also some parts of the county we don’t know. We found a little village called Finglesham by following the knife and fork signs!

Am loving exploring the area in which we live as well as our history. 13 months ago

There are places that we thought unsafe and uncomfortable. We closed our eyes in places we consider boring. But did we ever try to explore those places? 14 months ago

a death in my immediate family has caused such an intense reawakening in me, that has been so immediate and so very powerful that it is screaming at me – EXPLORE YOU! and all that you are becoming.

I find it liberating, freeing, and exciting, and not really scary: my ‘old self’ is predictable, organized, and I’m ever the planner – with a list in hand for many things!
I’ve never been one to fly by the seat of my pants – so this is really against my nature! I’m rather surprised that such a strong, reaction from my inner self is insisting, no – DEMANDING – that I try new things.. and don’t get me wrong, at heart I am an explorer of new things, ideas, skills, and new adventures…. but this now is so different, and so damn insistent!

Two days ago it was buying a drawing kit, and for no other reason than – I HAD to!

Today it is making squash soup.. why? who knows? maybe it will be yummy good?

Tomorrow? maybe I’ll go for a walk at lunch to the park and just listen to the birds… (birds seem to be a theme this last while!) 14 months ago
