my parents have been remodeling my old bedroom (four years later….) and i finally stopped by to go through a few boxes of my old stuff (some of it dated back to elementary school!). i wound up with at least five boxes packed with stuff that’s going to goodwill. now all i need to do is drop off the stuff my fiance and i have accumulated for donations.
it’s nice that, while i haven’t QUITE done what i’ve set out to do yet, i made an unintentional dent in this goal. it makes me feel a little less guilty for having two bags of clothes just taking up space in our apartment.

my fiance has a bunch of stuff he wants to donate, too—a lot of sweaters that would be perfect for someone else this winter. now that he has a bunch of stuff, too, i want to finally donate all this stuff twice as badly.
Okay, so I have 3 really full boxes of stuff to donate. Do I just take it to a store and drop it off at the store, or do they have designated places to take it??
.. our closet this week, bundled up the clothes that we no longer needed, and have donated them to St Vincent de Paul…

i pass the local goodwill every day i go to work. i should really leave five minutes earlier one day so i can drop off this bag of clothes that has been sitting next to my bed for at least a month now.

For every new clothing item I buy, I find one old one to send to goodwill. I keep a bag in my closet and when it’s full, I put it in the trunk of my car, then when I have time, I stop by the dontation center, and ta da! Right now I have two boxes of stuff in my car to take to Goodwill! Just trying not to accumulate too much stuff in a small apartment.
Doing Damn Dandy ;-) is happy that I have not smoked a cigarette in 21 days!! YAY!!! :-)
This past Saturday I took a trunk load of clothers and toys and a small box of “things”.

I took a trunk full of clothes and shoes about 2 weeks ago. That was a huge start. There are still a few boxes to go through. Hopefully this weekend I can get started on those. But one large load has been donated.
