I have a painting I started nearly four years ago. I worked on it steadily for a few days and then just stopped. I still have it and I still think it’s lovely so I want to finish it. I just hope I can make it look good! It’s one of the few things of mine I really like.

bekamonster has gotten her permit!
I’ve been drawing for a while. I want to start PAINTING.
I wont finish this until I complete a fully colored, stunning work of art that I made for myself personally, and that means something significant to me.
I just want to prove to myself that I haven’t lost all my passion for what I used to love
I majored in painting in college and after I left I was sort of burned out on the whole thing. I haven’t really sat down and concentrated on painting anything for almost three years. I think it’s about time to start again!!
I wasn’t painting because I only have acrylic paint, and I can’t afford oil. Acrylic is super annoying to work with, imo, because by the time you get the color mixed just right, it is already drying on the pallet.
Another painter told me about this gel you can buy called retarder that prolongs the dry time.
The perfect answer to my problem… hopefully this will help me finish the painting with the materials I have.
I’m ready to send the painting to the subject (it’s a gift) as soon as it’s dry—Tuesday maybe.
I draw well and have some great ideas for a series of paintings, but I can never seem to get to the art supply store…
it is like a never ending story
never happy with the ending so i just keep on painting.
