I’ve taken the Belief-O-Matic quiz on beliefnet a few times in the past couple of years and have gotten 100% Reform Judaism all the times I have taken it.
I am really interested to go to a synagogue and see how I feel about it.

How I did it: After my dad died when I was 12 (who was the only person with religious influence in my life) I did a lot of questioning. He was Bahai' and I found that I didn't quite fit with his beliefs. I went on searching through christianity, catholicism, protestantism, judaism, buddhism, paganism, atheism, agnosticism, and just about anything I could get my hands on! I identified myself as pagan for a while because it was the most broad term I coul… Read how I did it…

Well, I dont really know how to explain this. I have never had a religion before, I usually just class my self as an Atheist, but I dont believe that this is the case any more. I do believe that there is something out there, not sure what tho. I know its not a person, or something that can think or speak. I think its just like, a force, if you get what I mean? I dont think that it can cause miracles. Like, if a blind person regained their sight thru operations, that is a miracle, but a scientifically gained one. With me so far? Ha ha.
Anyway, what I plan to do is read up on a couple of religions and then post my thoughts about each one in here. Then, at the end, I will tell you which one I have chosen! Who knows what it will be. .
Juggalette DX Where there's a will, there's a way.
I guess I’m just going to try and live my life the way I think I should live it. And well, I guess if I’m lucky enough, maybe someday I’ll come across a religion that really speaks to me and is something I really “get.” But until then, I think I’m just on my own for the time being.
Thanks for everyone’s help, and best of luck to all of you guys! :)
Peace.

What do you guys think of Atheism?

I was raised as a Buddist… but that never really fit me.
I’m thinking of Lutheranism or Catholosim, but I’m not sure yet.
I’m kind of interested in/looking at Panentheism or Pantheism. Is anyone else into this or does anyone know anything about these? I’ve been raised Catholic but I really don’t agree with it and don’t consider myself a Catholic though I haven’t really done anything to find anything else yet. It’s just hard because I’m in college and I still technically live with my parents over breaks and stuff so I really don’t want to upset them while I live under their roof so to say but I want to start exploring religions that make sense to me so that when I am completely independent I can make my life the way I want it.
My parents are christian, I come from a family of very religious people. I went through with joining the family church about three or four years ago, but its been about a year that I have lost all faith for this religion. A lot of the things I have read in the bible, I just cannot believe and cannot see that this actually happened, this is a personal thing and I wish I could believe it because I want more than anything to have an afterlife, I fear death so much that I have panic and anxiety attacks all the time, every day or few days its the same thing. I really do wish that I could find a religion to suit me, which I can believe.
LizdeBiz wants to start over.
I’ve definitely reached a crossroad in my life with regards to religion. In the past I wouldn’t have necessarily called myself the religious type, but I tended to think upon the spiritual and metaphysical. But I don’t want to wander around without purpose or a creed in my life to live by. My current religion (Roman Catholicism) is something of a travesty, and I may very well renounce it sometime in the near future if I find something that suits me better.
I’ve been doing a lot of research into other religions ever since and been wondering which one is right for me. It may take some time, but even if I don’t find the right one, I want this to be an exploration for myself. It’ll be something of a personal journey, too, I believe, as it would require some soul-searching.
