I read about 80% of the book, and I got a lot from it.

this isn’t going to happen. i got to page 400 and have heard the same thing over and over and over again in this book.
Turns out getting wedding invites out is more important than finishing the book tonight.
So decrees the fiance ;-)
I have read about a hundred pages it is a very motivating book because it is about future. To be able to know future get me excited.
where the hell did my book go? i took it on my skiing trip and now it’s gone!
i’m on page 264, and let me tell you, this book is getting pretty repetitive. i can very effectiely summarize what i’ve read so far in one simple sentence:
due to technological advancements that eliminate communicative borders and sources of economic friction, jobs are being outsourced and offshored to other countries with an eager, hard-working, cheap labor force.
this is nothing profound. i’ve taken some elementary economics courses, i understand that we need not to fight this force because economics isn’t zero-sum, i understand that it’s much more efficient for countries to offshore work for cheaper labor. i’m really hoping friedman starts taking a different approach on the subject, or i’m afraid i’ll give up this goal.
i’ve been stuck on page 220 out of 560 for the last few days. i should probably get to it! but i’ve been pretty busy and such. i think this book will help me with both my career and my worldview, so i’m not giving up yet.
My fiance got this for me for my birthday (as well as iWoz), so I’ll be reading it soon(-ish)
so this goal was originally “read a book” but now i’ve specified. i was in the airport in austin, texas, and i saw this book on the shelves. i recognized it because i saw the goal on 43things, so i picked it up. it sounded like something i’d be into, because it’s about worldview and it’s about business. so now i’m a little over 200 pages into it, im hoping i finish it by january 2nd when school starts, but knowing me i doubt i will.
