I finished Destroy All Humans 2 and Lego Star Wars: The Video Game.
Destroy All Humans 2 was okay. It doesn’t have any major problems that one would expect from a 76/100 rating on Gamerankings. It wasn’t really that funny and seemed to try a bit hard to be.
It plays a lot like Grand Theft Auto III but is more forgiving (if you die you don’t lose the mission you’re doing) which was good.
I haven’t played the first game and don’t intend to so I don’t know whether or not DAH2 actually adds much new. It was pretty cool just flying around in the spaceship and killing/blowing things up, although the army just kept on respawning, which was quite annoying.
The game has plenty of side-missions that increase the games overall length, which is was necessary considering the ease of the missions most of the time.
I rate Destroy All Humans 2 game 7.6/10
Lego Star Wars: The Video Game has an understandable rating on Gamerankings (about 80/100). The story mode is quite fun (the vehicle missions got annoying though) although far too short (can be finished in a day easily).
The game is very forgiving—if you die in a mission you only lose 1,000 or so studs (the currency in the game) and respawn right where you were before you died.
It is quite fun being able to play as every character you’d want to play as from the Star Wars Episodes I-III, such as Darth Maul, General Grievous, Yoda, a Wookie etc.
Because the game is so short (the fun part of the game—one could spend quite a lot of time collecting every mini-kit and buying every character and extra, although they are quite pricey which will require grinding…anyone actually like grinding?) I rate Lego Star Wars: The Video Game 7.7/10 and recommend it to any Star Wars fan.

Just beat Half-Life 2: Episodes 1 and 2. Each took less than a full day. I think the first one took around 5 hours on the first run-through, the second one somewhat longer.
I loved em both, can’t wait for the third and final episode.
I want to set aside an hour each day just for gaming. There are so many potentially great games out there that I haven’t played yet. Hopefully when I get a new gaming rig this will become even more enjoyable.
If I do this for a couple months, I will consider it complete!

I finished We Love Katamari yesterday. The total amount of time that I had played the game was only 10 hours, so it was a bit short.
Gameplay
It wasn’t easy nor hard. It was quite fun—the most fun when you finally get big enough to roll up whatever has been pushing you around for the last few minutes. I haven’t played the first one so I don’t know whether or not this is the better of the two. The controls were a bit annoying because it was too slow to turn. The fastest way to turn was to do a 180, which wasn’t that helpful if you were boxed in. The camera was also an annoyance because it often prevented you from seeing where you wanted to go.
Graphics
The graphics were simple and cartoony, which fit the game.
Story
The story was simple, a bit over the top and pretty good.
Sound
The music was very weird and sometimes bordered on annoying but was also very catchy. Na-na na-na-na-na-na na na Katamari Damacy.
In Closing
We Love Katamari is a unique and fun game that I believe everyone should at least experience. 7.5/10
That’s one more game that I can tick off my list.

Finished KHII

I finished Kingdom Hearts II recently. The total amount of time that I had played the game was about 60 hours, so it’s not what I’d call a rental.
It was a bit easy—way easier than the first Kingdom Hearts but that didn’t matter because by just pressing X you were performing some pretty awesome attacks. The first two hours of the game are pretty boring but after that it gets a lot better. The parts where you flew the gummi ship were way better. Even the annoying parts of the game, like Atlantica, weren’t difficult, which was good. Using the Drive Forms was fun but because of how long it took to fill up the drive gauge again I just didn’t bother using them that much.
The story was pretty melodramatic like in the first one. The cutscene graphics were inconsistent—they were fantastic at the beginning and end but of gameplay quality for the rest of the game. It was annoying how frequent the cutscenes were though.
Kingdom Hearts II is a fun game—better than the original and I recommend it to anyone who owns a PS2. 8.5/10

Decided to also play a round of Mario Kart Wii every night if possible. I need to hone my mad skillz… Just kidding about the mad skillz part.

Recently I went over to a friend’s house and he introduced me to the XBOX (also on PS2 luckily, because I don’t have an XBOX) video game Destroy All Humans 2. It plays a bit like Grand Theft Auto, except you control an alien who has ray guns, can use psychokinesis to throw people/things, can “bodysnatch” and many more things. It’s a pretty fun game. It isn’t rated very highly on metacritic or gamerankings (only 73-76/100 I think), but from what I’ve played it seems quite fun so I might buy it or the first one (Destroy All Humans) in the near future.

I’m really interested in video games. Not so much about playing them but more about the world/experiences each one has to explore/have. I haven’t played many video games, but I have a list of those that I want to play, and I’d like to tick off as many as possible from that list as quickly as possible, although while still enjoying most of what each video game has to offer.

I am going to leverage my precious time by playing more portable games when I am not home. I found myself sitting at home on the couch playing my DS! I made my pile of shame and posted it on my blog.
Last night I played a little bit more on GTA SA. I am nearing the end but I wanted to gain all the gang territories before finishing the missions. I think I have about 1 session left and about 6 territories to capture. After that I think there is only like 6 or 7 missions left. Nothing some high explosives won’t help with! So far I have only activate one single cheat to pass a level(Stupid RC plane mission) so I am relatively doing great.
I am on the second world/level of Avatar on Wii. That game is ok, but it seems that every time I sit down to play it something stops me. Like it is fate.
I am in Zenthia in Dragon Quest IV on DS. I am planning on playing it at lunch time this entire week to do all the end game grinding. I still have yet to form the super party that I need to push to the end. I feel pretty confident that I should be able to finish this in the next 2 weeks. The next DS game to play? I will have to choose from the closet: http://djpimpdaddy.googlepages.com/nescloset.htm
Also, one step back, I bought World of Goo on Wii. Damn that game is addicting. I have spent a good 5 hours building goo structures over treacherous ground. Oh why do I keep buying games!?

I can honestly say that I’m really good at video games. Sad? Maybe. I find that putting time and effort into things is really, well, hard. I have always defaulted to games to take my mind off of virtually everything. Now I’m really good at it.
Maybe I should go pro…
