start writing

If feel that i need to start writing, but i don’t know from where to start.

I write; therefore I’m a writer. Not a paid writer yet, mind you. But writing is now something I do most days. I have found my voice!

I was able to attend about four weeks of the writers’ group this summer, but now I’m on my own as school has started. I have written many pages in my journal, mostly at the two retreats I attended. I am starting to feel like a writer!

The writers welcomed me, and I know most of them. We had one in-class assignment, which went well, and another homework writing task. I think I’m going to like this!

Ann from the writer’s group called me back, and I am going to her house tomorrow morning for a summer writers’ workshop. She told me a little about the other members, and I do not feel too intimidated – there is at least one beginner like me. Wish me luck!

I am looking into joining a writer’s workshop – just waiting for them to call back. I hope this is something I will want to join.

Im not sure what, poetry, a book, a journal? Just something. Stop wasting my brain so much

I am writing some lists and intentions as part of therapy and a class. it’s a good start!

writing is easier if i have hell lot of truthful knowledge in me. If i listen too closely to opinion and comments of other people i’m easily drained, lost and subversive. all we have to do is relax, count our thoughts, read them in our mind and say them if we please. i don’t talk much, i guess that is why i loved writing, or kept a journal( which is hardly ever updated.) i am 23 and have so much life. my city, my country pakistan is in a political mess. judiciary has been attacked and mocked, several judges have been suspended along with the constitution. I want to write about all that. i want to write a poem about change, revolution, about graffiti artists, smoking, art, critics, guns, people who dare, people who unicycle, i want to write about all my plans. i want to write in different languages. I want to write my college assignments.
