Hangliding over the city in Rio de Janeiro, then landing on the beach. Tandem with Roy Hilton taking pictures. One of the best things I’ve ever done!
I bit the bullet and learned to fly a Hang Glider. It took me about five days over the course of several months to get to a point where I could fly off a cliff and stay in the air for hours – and what a rush! Oh my god, my world changed completely at that instant when I stepped into space with nothing between me and the ground far below but an aluminium tube and a harness.
I’ve been flying ever since and although I’m still scared silly each time I fly it’s all worth it. I love it.
