I really enjoyed it – spending time with the characters that you have grown to dislike is interesting but kind of good. I really like Jamie now (not in that way!) but Cersei is still a nasty lady. Oooooh rather excited about the next one – I am slightly worried that it is turning into a fantasy soap opera though – I could do with a little more action and a little less conversation. Its still great though.

it is very very fat…
Some guy talked to me on the DLR the other day about it. This is unheard of in London – people don’t talk in the mornings – it is one of the unwritten rules that we all live by – but anyway he was rereading them before moving on to the fourth book – I am liking it but it takes a while to remember the names and stuff.
He sounded American which could explain.
Hell – we should talk more on the public transport and get over being so … british about things.

So I am going to have to buy it myself – I don’t think I can wait until chrimbo.
BTW I am not being ungrateful – my friends and family have been super lovely generous for my birthday.
I can’t tell anything so as not to spoil anything.
What I feel I can say, though, is that vol 5 will be better still, and that vol 6 will be a killer. I’m exhilarated.
I forgot proper names were… translated.
Have to remember that Lancehélion is Sunspear. And so on.
I just bought it. It cost me a few pounds of flesh. But what does it matter to me? I have it right here.
It’s huge and beautiful.
I’ll be back in 750 pages. See you!
I mean, litteraly.
Last night I dreamt I rec’d the book. I was very large, hardbound (which is weird for us Frenchmen) and ridiculously thin (for an Ice and Fire book): 236 pages, in type 16. It was all syrupy, slow-paced and generally blaaargh. There was only 1 chapter about Catelyn’s whereabouts, 1 about Arya, and long rantings about how pretty the scenery was.
I was taken aback and angry. What’s more, my copy still had sticky notes and pencilled comments from the publisher. I hoped the next volume (the second part of vol 4, actually) would contain at least some elements of plot. I was really angry with GRRM.
Well… The dream does not mean anything, does it?

Although I am not sure about your hopes for July…
According to Amazon (and they are normally evil evil liars!) “A Feast for Crows” will be out October 17th – but they have said things like that before.
Humph! Although looking on his website it sounds fairly definite – at last hurrah.
Ooooh! He is doing a tour as well:
