Sing a solo in front of people.

I did this again this past weekend and it’s weird because this doesn’t really make me scared… Like I’m not ultra confident about it, but I know what I am capable of and if I do the best that I can I’m not really afraid of what will happen. It’s a really liberating experience. I enjoyed it. :]

i used to always sing in a choir where i used to live and i got solos to sing for churches and shows and my school. . .

but then i was asked to sing at my granny’s funeral and i totally messed up – probably cause i was upset.

but now im really nervous about singing in front of people…

i have to sing for a music exam in november for school in front of my class but im so nervous….. i hope i can do it

I sing all the time. Now I sing in the car, even when I have a passenger. I suppose you could consider that a solo, and since i just sing a lot and I have sung by myself for short durations of time- I think I have earned the ability to mark this as accomplished. I did sing a little part of “Only Hope” by myself last year but sang the entirety of the song with one other person. I did the echo of the gospel acclamation by myself one time also. Oh, and last week I sang by myself in the car from church to teach the little boys I was riding with how to sing some of the church songs. I guess by definition of solo, I have done this.

Yeah, this one is sooo done… but I still want to have that one like daring solo moment that is really scary, ya know?

Today I was part of the mass music group at All Saints. Leslie played guitar and Nikki and I were the singers. It was so neat. I was a little bit nervous because some of the notes were a little outside of my vocal comfort zone but being able to actually hear how Nikki and I sounded with the microphones and all was really helpful. We hit dem notez!

Still… not quite sure if I am ready fo’ a real solo in front of humans. One day… :]

Well tomorrow I am singing at All Saints with Leslie. I am excited! What a cool opportunity! My cousins go there also, so that’s neat!

One day, I will sing solo… one day.

I’ve been a singer since I was tiny. I think my favorite place is in front of people. Serriously, it’s so much fun. And it’s really not that bad. What’s the worst that could happen? You could forget your words, but you can make up some and the audiance dosen’t know the difference ninety percent of the time. Almost everything people are afraid of on stage either can’t happen or have an easy solution.

It was a group (4) of us, and each had solo parts and group parts. It could have gone a little smoother, but it was fun anyway!

The recital is in 3 weeks!

It wasn’t good because I was at one of those public, stuck-up middle schools. I enjoy singing, but that school actually wanted me to stop.

Easter Sunday Morning service at church. I thought I’d faint, throw up or run out…I don’t know in what order. But I made it through it.
