I’ve always been concerned for the environment and have recently joined some organizations like the Sierra Club and Conservation International…but I want more than the free return labels and stuffed animal. I’d like to get involved, but I guess a little uncomfortable with where to start. I feel like I don’t know enough about the issues to really make a change, etc. BUT – I did get a little newsletter in the mail from Sierra with some upcoming events, so I think I’ll try some of them and see where it leads….

I just went to the “Reclaim the Earth!” rally and march on Earth Day in Toronto.
It was so much fun and probably the most inspirational thing I have ever done in my life.
I really felt at peace while there—I just knew that I was doing something that MATTERED.
We rang bells, banged on drums and blew whistles to “Wake up Stephen Harper” and demand Kyoto at a minimum.
I was at the VERY front of the march and a billion pics were taken. I have yet to see any at all though :(
I have been visiting the David Suzuki Foundation website a lot for motivation.
There is this other thing called Streets are for People! that is really cool that you should check out. I will try to remember to list the link another time, but try googling it lol
