throw my hubby a nice retirement party on Friday

Nick has such wonderful colleagues and I always enjoy seeing them.

Their retirement gift to him was wonderful. They planted a flowerbed that he can look at and enjoy every day. I thought the idea was so creative, and I was impressed that they were willing to actually come over and work. They also planted a little garden flag with a flower and a bee on it. It says “Bee happy!”

the cake (above) is on order, and the food is taken care of. As his retirement gift, Nick’s colleagues are going to plant daylilies around the tree that sits closest to our front porch. It’s a gift that will come back year after year! Someone is coming with a tiller tomorrow to turn the earth over, and Friday, they will plant!

The pool is sparkling and ready for guests, and the house is . . . well, people do like a comfortable lived-in house, right?

It should be fun!
