Ever since I remember, I couldn’t switch altitudes or room pressures without my ears going nuts. Planes are horrible, driving through mountains is horrible, closing the windows in the car when going 65 miles an hour is horrible, going underwater in a pool is horrible.
The doctor says that “my eustacion tubes collapse”...this causes all kinds of trouble for me. My ears get “clogged” and I can’t hear anything and hurt like hell. When the tubes finally “uncollapse”, my ears pop like crazy for months.
Last summer we went to Florida and drove through the Great Smoky Mountains. My ears were clogged for the whole two weeks of our vacation and for 2 weeks after that. Right now, almost a year later, my ears still pop/crackle every time I swallow. It blows.
I really want to travel…all over the world, but that would involve taking a plane…and I can’t do that until I get my ears fixed or they may permently collapse and make me deaf…not a risk I’m willing to take.
So, I really need to do something about it.
