I have become friends with an industry mom named Aileen. Her daughter and Hallie have worked on two projects together, we talked while they took pictures. She is really nice, and down to earth. It is nice to talk to her because she understands why I am doing this, and the potential for my daughter’s future.
Aileen, the girls and I ate lunch at Jerry’s Deli after the shoot. She is beautiful and very nice.
Aileen’s daughter, Gabby, and Hallie had a play date yesterday after the shoot. Hallie went to her house and went swimming and played with her brothers. She had a great time.

Barbara has become one of my best friends in LA. Her daughter and my kids get along smashingly together. They are all into drama and improv, so it is like a on going theatre act when they are at her house. The woman has nerves of steel, because they get so rowdy and she is totally cool with it. Meanwhile I am ready to pull my hair out.
Barbara cooked chicken soup. It was really good. Then we took her dog Jack for a walk around the block.
Barbara attempted to help me with the math questions that are going to be on the test that I am going to take tomorrow, but I stink in math, so I don’t think it helped much, plus the theatre was going on in the other room.
She also did some “energy release” work on me. She is one of a kind.

While Jonathan was in class at TVI Studios, I got to be friends with one of the mothers named Misty. Misty is beautiful and funny. She makes me laugh so much with her wacky sense of humor. She is very cool.
Misty is in the same situation as I am, having children who act, so we kind of “get” each other. I am so glad that we have become friends.

We arrived in LA June 21st. Jonathan started Acting Camp at TVI Studios on June 24th-30th. I had to drive from downtown LA to Sherman Oaks everyday. Thank God for my Garmin GPS..I love you so much. During that week we met Kayti, who lives on the 11th floor, in the laundry room. Kayti looks like a Barbie. Hallie and Jonathan both want to visit her..especially Hallie. Kayti took Hallie out for a manicure and pedicure. Hallie was so excited. Hallie always looks for Kayti’s car in the parking structure.
I met one older lady named Mrs. Cohen. She said she had lived at Park LaBrea for 33 years.
Tonight I met Nick, 6th floor, in the laundry room. He was doing the laundry for himself and his girlfriend. How nice is that? Nick worked on the computer graphics for Spiderman 3. His mom is a teacher too.
I met a woman named, Kim, at the pool. She had an adorable little boy named Keaton. Jonathan and Hallie loved playing with him. Kim is a personal trainer and her husband is an actor. I wish I could hire her to help me, but I don’t have time or money for it.
Apparently the laundry room is the place to meet people. Everyone is sitting around bored waiting for their laundry to get finished. I love learning about their jobs. Employment is so diverse in LA..there is no telling what one’s profession could be.

I will be moving to LA June 21st. I don’t know a soul, expect for a few online friends…that could be potential ax murders. I would like to learn to use the Subway and Bus system. I have a car, but with the price of gas etc…I think it makes sense to learn those modes of transportation.
