Organize a Bay Area meet-up

Such a pleasure to meet SWAZ, Bookish, Daniel Spils, and Girl in the Curl! We had a million conversations going.

What a pleasure to meet Adar, catattack, SWAZ, Bookish, Daniel Spils, and Girl in the Curl! The orange crêpe was fantastic, too.

I brought my library copy of The Hipster Handbook. Daniel Spils was particularly hip, iPhone and all. If I was female, I’d have a crush on him.

The inevitable question came up: why 43 things? We got the inside scoop from Daniel himself. It turns out that the Robot Co-op is actually a kabalistic coven, and 43 in Hebrew numerals is מג, which is the Hebrew word for “attic pigeons”. Then we commiserated about journalists who fudge the facts to make a story more sensational. Don’t you hate that?

it was great fun to meet you and talk… yet another 43 success… we all congratulated Daniel on designing their site in such a way that it encourages such positive interaction and attracts such a diverse yet real crowd… We were also treated to some of the backstory behind 43… fascinating!
