I had so much fun putting together this journal. I clipped photos, and colours from magazines and then taped them to pieces of paper.
I found a lot of good ideas in the Martha Stewart magazines so I saved them. I felt happy assembling this journal so it will be something to look for when I want to feel inspired. 6 years ago

I started organizing my papers and then realized I should make an Academic folder. It can be used for when I apply for jobs, too.
It feels good to get these papers organized; the transcripts, and other documentation. 6 years ago

I went to Staples tonight and bought a very basic plastic report book to start assembling my files. 6 years ago

I’m in the process of organizing my paperwork and tidying my home so this would be the right time to start looking for things that I can put in my victory file. 6 years ago

This feel by the wayside long ago. But I think at a time like this, it would be good for me to bring this back to life…I don’t know if really have any victories to add right now though. 6 years ago

I put everything together last night, including printing out a great celtic bordered front page.
Now that it’s all set up I just need to keep adding to it :) 6 years ago

I’ve bought the folder for this.
I’ve also brought home a few items from work to go into it.
Now I just need to get motivated to actually put it together … 7 years ago

This is not a new year’s resolution, but in the new year, I will physically make a file and start getting this worked on. The reason I say in the new year is because my room is a disater right now, and working 40 hours a week, I know it wont be in passable condition to where Id even want to THINK about brining another object in until after the holidays are over. 7 years ago

I finally created a file in my home-office desk drawer and named it “Happiness”. I save all sorts of mementos anyway, so now they will be in a designated spot, and I can look there when I need a pick-me-up. 7 years ago

My “victory file” is more like a binder filled with letters, drawings from my students (when I was an elementary music teacher), postive newspaper articles about me and our music program, and so on.
It’s the first thing I turn to when I’ve had a really crappy day at work.
I also have a similar file at work in my file cabinet, just in case I need a during-work-hours uplift. 7 years ago

I think the first step is to get back on track in deciding what I want to put in the file…then I can decide how the “file” itself will look.
I’m already planning on making this sort of show and tell victory type folder for my internship and all the things I did. You wouldnt believe all the stuff I saved. Yikes! 7 years ago

When times get hard it’s great to look back on this “Victory File” to remind me that I can do it! I can win! I can reach my goals!

My subgoal (since I have no room on my list) is to start collecting things for my VF. This week, I’ve suffered many personal failures, so I need to search deep…way down deep…I’m sure I have some small victory somewhere that will make me smile and forget some of the events of this week 8 years ago

Did I spell accentuate right? I don’t think I’ve ever written that word down before.
Anyway, I somehow stumbled upon the following article at Lifetimetv.com (I say stumbled b/c it’s not a site I’d really surf to on my own). http://www.lifetimetv.com/reallife/health/features/boost_confidence.html
Aside from things like “faking it” (which is kind of something Deni has mentioned before) the article suggests creating a Victory File. In a sense, because of all the stuff I tend to save naturally, this shouldnt be too hard to start going.
The only thing left to decide is what the file should be – a shoe box, one of those plastic shoe boxes, a cardboard box, one of those files that you keep bills and stuff in…hmmmm. Decisions, decisions. 8 years ago
