Get a Nikon D70

Worth every cent

Ok, it’s not the top of the line, but it beats the crap out of every camera I had so far, except I doubt it will last as long as my Cannon AE-1 that was made in 1976 and it still works flawlessly.
The best thing is that it gives me freedom to work on the creative side without wasting time on trying to figure out how to trick the thing into doing what I want it to do. For example I can use external flashes triggered by photo slave held in front of the speedlite. I hated the fact that I couldn’t turn off the stupid preflash in my previous camera. The preset white balance is also great. I have some pretty decent family photos now.

Got a good deal (1000 after rebates) and it has totally reignited my passion for photography! With the cheaper D-50 and new D70S available, we should see the D70 drop in a price a little bit. Worth doing all the way!

I got a Nikon d70s from my husband for my 30th birthday! Absolutely thrilled, and am determined to set up a photoblog and really get to use my new baby!
