The cold weather is around the corner and so I’m gearing up for my crochet season. I have ordered a book with some handbag patterns for inspiration. Hopefully soon I can get to the craft store and get the supplies I need since most of my stuff is still boxed up from our last move and I don’t want to go through the many boxes looking for what I need. Ok, I’ll confess I just love to go shopping for new yarn and thread.

This is going to work up super-quickly. I’ll be sure to post pictures when I’m finished.
Dyeing the yarn was much easier than I expected-just soak the yarn, heat the water, add vinegar and a little bit of dye and the skein of yarn, and voila-30 minutes later you have beautiful hand-dyed yarn. I highly recommend Jacquard dyes if you want to give it a try.
