I’ve been trying to read this since summer, but I’ve been so busy I’ve just done it in spurts.
Right now I’m on page 300 and once I’m done I plan on watching the movie.

How to read the Count of Monte Cristo

How I did it: I had watched the movie and loved it. It is one of my favorite movies of all time. I went to barnes and nobel and bought a copy that was on sale. It took me two weeks to read but it was very good. The next day I came home from work and the book was shredded all over my bed, courtesy of my new puppy. I just read about 20 or so pages before bed and some throughout the day when I got bored. If you have not watched the movie or read the book, do it, It will melt your face off! Lessons & tips: Do not leave this great book on your bed when your new puppy is home alone. Also, Zaltara may mean driftwood but it also means bad ass. |

I actually read it during school. Our teacher said if we used one of the messed up copies we could keep it, since they were ordering new books anyway. I took one that is missing three pages and is broken into three parts, but it’s still readable and I have read it almost three times already. It’s really a good book.

I saw the film about a year ago, and loved it. I really want to read the book, but haven’t got round to it yet. Hopefully over the summer… ;)

The book is very…French, but I loved it despite the fact that I couldn’t understand some of the references.

this is my favorite movie, i have the audiobook (and movie) and my gf bought me the book for christmas….. it’s just so big!

I’m finally done! and man, was it worth it! This is one of the best books ever. The movie that i’ve seen which is the 2002 version falls short by cutting out over half of the characters. the best thing about this story is the amount of characters and how intricately intertwined all of their fates are. AMAZING!

and borrowed it from the library. But then I realized it was all in French!!! I don’t know French! Actually… I don’t know how to READ French since I’m trying to learn through tape (that’s not going very well). Boo.

Or at least it seems to be. I’ve had three copies of this book in the past. Two have been stolen and one chopped to pieces (a long story).
