My BF came over and we rearranged my room as per Fung Shi (or however its spellt). Not sure if the energy flows better, but the place looks nicer, and I have a clue of things to get rid of. Also, I’ve been going though my clothes to weed out the ones I don’t wear and such. The peeps at the Free Market see me coming now and salivate…lol

I just feel into a bunch of new sweaters and such, I’m rather pleased, they are all in nearly new shape, and I really like the colors. I am going to toss most of my current winter wardrobe. It’s really nice.

In the headline people. I instinctively clutter & collect to the point where there’s hardly space for me in my own room. I need help.

Stuff. Everywhere.
Stuff!
Things I kept to remember..a pile of my life..people I used to know, people I used to want to be. Stuff from someone I’m not anymore.
It’s so hard to get rid of all this stuff.
First I think I’m going to try and get rid of the stuff from people who I didn’t think to remember, or consider that I once knew, or even remembered having known until I found a pile of stuff that reminded me of them. Unless they sent me something glowingly flattering that will remind me that somewhere, someone, once thought I was cool.

Since I don’t own the house – I live with my mother – it’d probably be rude to start chucking her things in the bin because I find them hideous. But I can do this in my room, with my own things. I think it will be liberated. I will encourage myself to be honest about what I find beautiful and useful. There are quite a few things I’ve hung on to simply because they were given to me, or they were around, or inexpensive. I’m also working on getting rid of books which I don’t love and will never want to read again through BookMooch. it’s great being able to get books I want to read, then either keep them, or pass them along when I’m done.
