Although I think I will wear make-up more often, I’m not going to make it a priority. :-)

I was doing really well at this at the beginning of this month, and then I just sort of forgot about it. Sometimes I put make-up on after I get to work.
I had to ask myself why I was doing this in the first place. I am still not positive of my whole reason, but it seems I am feeling threatened lately by my younger co-workers. They always look so put-together, like they spent hours on their hair and make-up before leaving the house. I think my clothes look sharp, but I tend to put my hair up and, like I said, forget to put on make-up.
I like the way I look wearing make-up, but I hate the hassle. I don’t want to become one of those people who freaks out if you see them w/o make-up, but I also don’t want to become one of those people who feels it necessary to go along with what everyone else thinks you should do.
So, bottom line is; do I want to wear make-up because I like the way it makes me feel? Or do I want to wear make-up so I can “fit in” with my younger co-workers? Does make-up make me feel good because of media messages that beauty requires make-up? Is this getting too complicated??

but I just want to give all these 20-somethings a run for their money. I am very low-maintence about make-up and hair, and I am OK with that. But I think I will start making the extra effort a couple days a week for my part-time job.
