How to learn to record and edit video
It made me 
"get someone knowledgeable to walk you through the steps"
How I did it: Basically I threatened the college computer lab that if they didn't send someone to train me on the software and equipment I would try and do it myself and might damage something through my ignorance. It worked really fast and I got an hour long private tutorial with the director of the lab to get me started.
