How I did it: My GCSE's felt like the world to me so i was really determined to do as well as possible. Sadly, determination is not what gets you the grades, but the hard work you invest into it. In the start of year.11 i was lazy and had Chem and Physics in november and completely failed them by gettin 3 C's and 1 B. Now, thats not the grade i was aiming for but certainly the grade i worked for and i certainly didn't work hard enough. For the first time, i faced dissapointment.
However, after working relatively hard (whilst still enjoying myself) by march i had become the biggest couch potato in the world. I stayed like that till the end of April when i realised i needed to do something about it. My house is very quiet and i am luck, but i just couldn't focus so i started going to the library. There i would see other people working and i started liking people seeing that i work hard. It made me feel proud, i wondered if they thought i was a good student for being there everyday. Yes, i went everyday from there and when my Study period (which was short) came in the end of May, i spent whole days at the library, leacing for a bit to get food or go to the toilet. fast food and water did cost me a bit, but i couldn't waste time and it was those last weeks that really saved my GCSE's.
