952 Is tired, and content.
I could spend months here, and still have more to discover.
Keep in mind, it IS a big city and therefor has big city problems. I didn’t get the impression it was a dirty place. I saw street sweepers and road washers working diligently to keep a metro center as clean as possible. Electric busses keeping the city air just a little cleaner, and scooters are EVERYWHERE. Hostels abound and there are some areas with absolutely fantastic graffitti! I am only sad that my time there was so short.
I definitely plan on spending a few months in this city!

the city itself is kind of dangerous and dirty, but it is still definitely worth seeing. it’s ancient and holds many wonders and new things to see and do. always up for an adventure!

A truly gorgeous, awe inspiring trip! The people all so very friendly and interesting. The food wonderful….We stayed at the Grand Bretagne across from the palace in Athens. Wait until you see the Military uniforms…too funny!

Let me say that nothing I could have ever read or seen could have prepared me for this trip. I went with a university class and was blown away with the sense of history and culture.
The Acropolis was larger than life, yet the shops and food were also far above my expectations. I took a couple of hours to run all over the city to see the sights that has made Athens one of the greatest cities in the world.
Trust me, this is one city that you want to visit. The museums, the food, the ancient ruins and the modern buildings all around were so much fun!
