    School's out! 11 months ago

The trick was to do it all on the weekends, rather than splitting up my week. I could get a head-start on my French homework or finish off my design homework over the week, but I couldn’t do all of my design homework during the week and still like the things I made.

My new French class starts in January! I’m only going to be taking the one, but I do have to wake up early on Saturday for it… sigh.

    Almost... 13 months ago

I almost did the right homework for class, although I ended up writing down the page numbers instead of the proper sections and did this week’s homework instead. Still, when he called on me I was able to quickly produce the proper answers and bluff my way through things, which I think is a bigger victory. I’d rather be prepared, but… The woman next to me had all sorts of mistakes with hers. I plan on doing last week’s homework this week and hope that I’ll be able to get all the way through the chapter, including the parts we’re skipping. I’m a bit behind the curve for the class, so the extra work won’t hurt me.

I also want to learn the passé simple this week, or at least start. All of the books on my TBR shelf use it, and I need to just bite the bullet and learn to use it. It’s simple! I just need to buckle down and do it.

    Pattern... 14 months ago

I’ve settled into a pattern with my homework. I spend half of my week thinking about stuff for one class while I actually do the homework for the other. Monday night and Thursday night is mine all mine…

    Design class... 14 months ago

I volunteered myself for too much work this week when my teacher thought my first round work was great so I suggested that I work on storyboards to the posters I’d made. I did them over the course of the week, but it was just a bit much—about 8 hours of homework! I have two classes and can’t sign myself up for that much work, although I do have to say that I like the ones I did…

    Ugh. 14 months ago

I’ve just remembered that “taking classes” involves “doing homework”... Sigh. At least I like and want to take the classes I’m doing, which wasn’t always true in high school or college…

So far, so good 20 months ago

I’ve stopped procrastinating as much and I feel so good about my school work. It’s a nice feeling once you get yourself to do it. One day, just do it. Don’t think about it. If you must, say to yourself that you’ll quit any minute, but keep going. I have no idea why, but it works.
