get a fish!!!

Okay, so I am personifying him, but he did look awfully lonely and he was very all alone.

He was a beta, but he was small, so I guess pretty young, and I startled him. He had the most raggedy blue fins. I wanted to buy him right there on the spot, but I had promised my fiance I’d take him out to dinner, and I couldn’t leave the little guy in the car to freeze.

Really, I’ve been thinking of getting a small tank with some type of fish that I can have a couple of together, anyway. Like, tetras, maybe. Unfortunately, I don’t know where in my house I would put it. We have so much clutter as it is. :/

I don’t really want a fish. I’m getting rid of this goal.

finally, today i got one! :D I haven’t had a pet since my dog died, so I dragged out my father to the pet shop today, and he got excited with the idea of having a fish, hahaha

It’s named Lucas, and it’s black. it has huge eyes. it does require a lot of treatment, with water and stuff, but still… it’s cute :D

at the doctor’s office the other day, and it was the perfect small size. I think I know where I would put it. Now I just need to get the fiance to go out fish shopping with me. He’s not opposed to the fishies, but not as enthusiastic about them as me, either.

I’m planning on getting one sometime after August and before X-mas. I wonder what i’m gonna name it?? Hmmm…I’ll be in my new apartment!!! I CAN’T WAIT! No more roommates in my personal space. I can decorate, walk around in my undies, fart freely (lol)...etc.

But its a tropical fish… which means lots of crap to buy. So this will probably be a very long term goal.
I used to have a beta, and that was so fun. He actually let me pet him when I fed him. Pretty cool.

I bought 2 black lyretail molly fish yesterday :)

also, I think fish are great. You don’t have to do much to keep them alive, and they are entertaining. Breathing under water is obviously one of the cooler talents in life.

lately i’ve developed a bad habit of impulse-buying whenever i’m bored. i’m already very impulsive (and compulsive… but that’s another story), so yeah, i’m ending up with a LOT of things i don’t really need, and i can’t ever bring myself to return them – what if i NEED one of those things one day!?

anyway, the other day i got this large glass bubble bowl because it was there and now i’m thinking that the best thing to do with it is to put some fish in it. or make a terranium, i’m better with plants than animals. but i think i’m going with the fish.

i really want a goldfish or two.. i love googly-eyed things and goldfish are ADORBS!! also: good luck!

edit: i got three goldfish! and i feel kind of bad since they’re in a bowl and all. but whatever. i love them!!! larry curly & moe… mah babehs.

My boyfriend has a pond and we spend hours sitting by the edge watching the fish swim around. Cheers me up, and it’s quite theraputic I think. So I think I’ll save up and get me some fishies of my own! (Though to avoid disaster, I’ll have to keep the cat out of my room.)

i dont think my daddy likes the name too much. haha oh well he’ll be leaving soon for another 4 months on the 17. but i am so happy about the fish!
oh, yeah and something random to say about my fish, my best friend hates fish. her mom has a beta and every day when she gets home from work she talks to the fish asking the fish how his day was, and saying hello fishy fishy fishy ect. my best friend will walk in the room not being in the best mood after being left alone until 9 that night until her mom comes home. haha and her mom will yell at her and tell her to clean or something. then talk to the fish some more!! everyone reading this may not find this funny, but i have known her since 5th grade. haha she always tells me she puts a little bleach in the bowl every day. or shell walk by when her mom is in the room and say something like “oh, is he supposed to float on his side like that.”

haha its so funny of how much she hates that fish!
