volunteer for the Peace Corps

As every day moves forward and my wife and I get closer and closer to our goal of volunteering for the Peace Corps, we become more passionate about it. I pray that we get the opportunity to travel and help another culture learn and experience hope the way we have. I look forward to giving up all of our personal possessions and leaving behind the daily stress of money, bills, the economy talk and focusing solely on helping others and peace.

So technically I’ve already completed this because I applied BUT I consider actually getting accepted and committing to the 2 years of service a must for “DONE” recognition. I think most would agree.

Does anyone know how old you have to be to join the Peace Corps. I read this thing about these college kids who gave up their spring break and volunteered for the Peace Corps. It seemed so awesome. This isn’t just one of my ridiculous, like-I’ll-ever-do-that kind of goals. I’m definitely going to follow through on this. There are few things in life that are more fulfilling than helping others and broadening your horizons.
