morning, ran the Race for the Cure 5K… It was supposed to be an easy celebratory run with friends, but I couldn’t find them at the start line, so ran a little bit faster… 22:3x, not my best, but not too far either (considering that we killed ourselves playing soccer on Thursday night).

I really liked the Survivor Recognition Ceremony after the race… families, bonding, hope. Am I getting too mushy? Oh, and I liked the breakfast at my friend’s place after the race too. :)

Not faster 7 months ago

but ran the local half-marathon this morning (perfect weather, by the way), 1:5x:something. Ran it at my comfortable pace… nothing to brag about, no regrets either, and that’s that :)

Hopefully. 9 months ago

With the weight loss I’m experiencing, I’ll be running faster in no time. I already feel like there’s less resistance on me and I’m running pretty fast. It’s just that whole pain thing and it’s hard to regulate my breathing, especially during a race. Running is pretty much hell, and I don’t even know why I do it.

If you ask me why I do track, I could never be able to give you a straight answer.

Better... 10 months ago

I’ve been working hard in practice and have also been dropping weight and I’ve been running a faster race lately. I’ve been also playing a better mental game as well, channeling my thoughts to my legs and making my legs pick up faster to get to the finish line.

I had a couple pretty good races today. They felt good. =]

More weight lost = faster races

Need to get there.
