A few weeks ago I learned how to make jam by making a batch with my grandmother. Not sure if it is cheaper in the end unless you grow your own strawberries but it sure tastes better not to mention you have complete control over what goes into it so you can use real natural sugar instead of corn syrup and other artificial flavors and chemicals.

All I need to buy is lemon jell-o for the recipe I’ve chosen; we already have the blueberries in the freezer. It will be a fridge/freezer jam. This is one more step in my ongoing quest to be frugal and keep expenses down. I keep learning! These little experiments turn into money-saving habits.
