stuck on the moon oh! valencia...
no spaceships go — 2 months ago
and the sky opened up
and spilled out tiny stars little pinprick diamonds and our island twinkled, showing off in the moonlight. and the moonlight. it pours an eerie milky glow onto the sea sillhouetting the waves. and the waves court the shore, haphazardly fretting up and down the coast. nothing is real. everything is wet.
you can smell it. it smells like children as they flick in and out of the shallowest waters, as far as mother’s reigns will allow
like sunshine, also waxing and waning, it glides and creeps across the sky
like the taste of salt residue on your warm skin as you dry in this sun.
i love hawaii.
