Definately a fun addition to any vintage ensemble.
The frillyness adds the excitement ;]
How I did it: I had the dress made at a local seamstress shop. It picked out the material myself at Joann Fabric. It was a lavender, violet, and white pattern with dark purple accents. Accents being the neckline, belt , ribbon around the arms. and the hem with two ruffles. Patti ( my seamstress) even made matching pantaloons. When it was completed it took a full six bone hoop. as well as a full slip on top of the hoop to give the dress the fullness it needed. Anyay it turned out to be a wonderful evening and take this cruise about this time every year.
Lessons & tips: I've very good at handling myself in this attire which does require some skill. I have three sisters which helped. I can give comportment lessons and do makeovers. I've been out in the public since 1992.
Resources: My seamstress, Patti Moss, my mother, as well as the friends I have at work.
