Learn ASL (American Sign Language)

I found myself in the mall the day after I wrote this goal. I was there to walk to burn calories to lose weight to meet another of my goals and guess what I saw! Two ladies signing to each other! my mouth dropped, what luck i thought. Luck my eyebrow this is divine intervention. go talk to them Karen I heard myself say. No, was the reply. GO What are you waiting for! Oh oh brain start working your legs are taking you over to these ladies. It was wonderful. I told them of this site and of my goal, I inquired as to if they knew what was available in the area for me to learn ASL. Wendy said she will call me with info. She called me yesterday! I was sooooo excited. she gave me the name and # of a friend who teaches children and would be a good reference for me. I am not sure if she didn’t mean she may also be able to teach me. Anyway I left a message for the new contact and am waiting to hear from her. in the mean time Wendy gave me her email and she and I will keep in contact that way. I am sooo excited! did I say that yet? hee heeeheee

I took a course years ago with a friend when I lived in Colorado. It was fun. To bad we never pursued it. This time I want to learn it, and continue using it. This will be great because I will meet many people this way. I can even do it as a source of income if I like it as much as I think I will. Who knows I may be able to enhance a church service someday with sign language.
