Sessygail is regaining some balance.

FINALLY! 11 months ago

While decluttering my house a few months ago, I came across a package, all set to be mailed to TrishaSmiles but I knew she had moved so I had to get her mailing address, which she gladly provided to me in November. Well, a mere 2 years after I got myself into this goal, I have now completed the first step of the journey. I mailed the package today. And I must record the story of the mailing because it was quite funny. So here it is:

I went to the post office yesterday to mail the package but there were no parking spaces and a very long line. Foiled again. So I went back this morning. I didn’t know what the postage would be but I took with me a bunch of old 33 cent stamps (self-adhesive) that we have been trying to get rid of – figured they might help cover the cost. So I get to the counter and tell the nice man that I need to know how much it will cost. He gives me overnight and priority rates. Okay, really, it has taken me two years to do this, am I really going to pay extra to get it there faster? :) So he gives me parcel post rate: $5.94. Then we count my $.33 stamps – I have 18 of them. Do the math! My 18 stamps were worth exactly $5.94! What are the chances? We just laughed and started sticking those stamps on the package! So, Trisha, be on the lookout for that very special package that is coming your way, slowly, even as I type! Whew! Finally! :)

Bad girl. Very Bad! 2 years ago

I procrastinate. It is a simple truth of my simple life. Tonight, though, I say to TrishaSmiles…”Be on the lookout in the next week!”

Here's the deal... 2 years ago

Once upon a time, Spydergrl posted an entry about starting a puzzle exchange. In my classic style, I enthusiastically begged to get the first puzzle and then let it sit on the dining room table for two months. But now it is finished and I want to honor the commitment I made to Spydergrl and pass the puzzle on to someone else. So, if you want to be the next one to put this lovely puzzle together, let me know. It is a fun puzzle to put together – not too hard but not too easy either! I can guarantee that, when it leaves this house, it will have all of its pieces!
