    FALLING ASLEEP

HASN’T WORKED: Prosom, exercise, music, thinking = bad, video games before bed = bad

HELPS: Ativan, ambient noise, deep breathing, massage

TRY: more exercise?, getting up earlier (see below), meditation, reading

    WAKING UP

HASN’T WORKED: setting alarms, having parents wake me, having roommates wake me, exposure to sunlight =P, having people call me

    HELPS: having structure!

TRY: getting a fucking job, set alarm on stereo, force self to turn on TV, have friends get me up, have Steph call me and yell at me till I get up =P

This is basic and underpins everything else. My sleep schedule is more erratic than anyone I know. I’m not going to get anywhere until I address it.

First goal: sleep from 12am-8am during the workweek. I can shift that forward a little on the weekend, but not more than 2:30am to 10:30am at the LATEST.

Without even trying… It only took a visit to my Dad’s, sleeping on the living room couch to regulate things. I went to bed early from sickness and exhaustion… (apparently after 6 months in Florida I’m allergic to the North) and he and all his dogs wake up so damn early I can no longer sleep past 11 which is regulated enough for me… believe me I’d sleep until 4 when left to my own devices but that’s not good for when potential employers call in the afternoon to schedule job interviews and you answer the phone in your groggy sleep.
