practice violin more

Iv’e had two lessons with my new teacher and she is moving me along much faster than my old one. :D I have a good feeling about her!

well, so i’ve moved on in my musical life. I’ve got a new teacher, and she is fabulous! Like, so much better than my old teacher. And now I’ve started on the Accolay concerto.
oh, and the movie August Rush was so inspirational.

good lord, will i never have time to practice??
I’m playing the Messiah on Dec. 10th, and I really need to practice that.
Maybe if I get done studying early, I can squeeze it in! :)

I have the ability to play well without practicing. Therefore, I take advantage of that by not practicing frequently during the summer. I just need to do it or I’ll never become the successful violinist I want to become.

My university is willing to give me money to play in their orchestra, regardless of how I sound, but I haven’t picked up a violin in three years. I’d like to at least be semi-schooled on it before they try and seat me. No sense in completely disappointing them. I picked up some of my beginner books and got started yesterday, playing a few notes. My tone quality has improved much, now that I know more about music. It’s just actually learning to love the violin that seems to be the trouble.
